The Armstrong's Visit to KY - four days of fun!

Ken and BJ Armstrong graduated with me from NTM. We've become pretty close friends over the last two years of training together. The Lord blessed me by allowing them to come see me just five days after graduation. It made that time of transition a little easier for me knowing I wasn't having to say goodbye to everyone - yet! We had a great four days together. BJ shared during the ladies' Thursday night Bible study time, and Ken took the morning service on Sunday. The boys shared with us by singing three songs. They pretty much captured everybody's heart!

Graduation Weekend With Family

I was blessed with my family getting to come to graduation - well, at least part of them! Dad, Mom, Sophia, Mark and Bambie and their five children were with me from Friday - Monday morning. When the big rush of graduation was over on Saturday (and the kids had their naps - we want happy children!) the whole gang of us took a trip down to the lake on school property. Sophia and I took the grandkids out in a canoe. (In Picture - Top row L to R : Daniel, Aunt Sophia, Aunt Sonya; Bottom row: Alethea, Benjamin, Victoria). I also enjoyed having my family go to church with me at New Home Baptist. We filled up a whole row. Mom, Sophia, and I sang "He Giveth More Grace" - a fitting description of what the Lord did for me this last year.

Graduation Day!

Well, folks, God did it! He has brought me to another end of another beginning. Graduation was May 19th at 10:00 a.m. I graduated with 66 other students. (Some of them will be returning to complete the linguistic course. I will not. My brain doesn't work that way, so I praise God for those whose minds do. The rest of us sure need them to finish the course!) Others in our graduating class are support workers, such as pilots, dorm parents etc. It was a bittersweet day.
